Geocache Description:

The cache is a small drill bit container that contains just a log, no pencil/pen so you have to bring your own. This cache is hidden in Castle Archdale Forest Park. The cache is not accessible by land so you have to access it by water but you do not need a kayak (but it is just as easily got to on a kayak) as you can walk through the water out to were the cache is placed as it is shallow if you walk close to the shore. The cache is hidden high because Lough Erne is prone to flooding!

The Cache is placed in Castle Archdale Forest Park on the LoughShore Trail over looking Duross Bay. The Cache is hidden in a place which is not accesible by land but is hidden on land. It must be got to by water either by walking along the shore to the Cache or getting to it by kayak from Castle Archdale Marina. The quick option would be to bring wellies and just walk to this cache through the water as you can park about a 100m away from the cache with out all the hassle of launching a kayak but if you do chose to launch your kayak there are other caches nearby which can also only be done by Kayak. The Cache is hidden in Duross Bay which is a brilliant place for bathers or canoeists and is one of the best places in Lower Lough Erne to go in Swimming and would recommend to you all to make a day out of it and go swimming or Kayaking but remember to wear a life jacket for safety reasons!
