Geocache Description:

Parking on either North Road or Gaglardi Way - depending on what direction you want to hike.  All trails interchange with one another and loop back nicely.

UPDATE: NOVEMBER 2021. Geocache container replaced with a smaller version. Limited room for small trade items. Bring your own pen. Relocated to other side of trail, but with tree coverage and GPS error, I think the coordinates are still fine. There is now no need to leave trail. Look low. In rotting stump/log. Replace rock in front before leaving. Thanks. The Nerdfrogs love hiking around Burnaby Mountain and my kids have been travelling these trails since before they could walk. Thought it would be nice to add another level of fun for the young (and the old) cachers alike. All my caches on this mountain are of the larger size and pretty easy to find - the challenge is in getting to them! They are a few meters off the main trails to avoid muggling and EASY bushwacking will be required only a few meters.

Those not familiar with Burnaby Mountain, it is a forest in the middle of the city! If you want to get out of the city for awhile, but don't have time for a lengthy drive, this is your place! Burnaby Mountain trails are popular with mountain bikers so always keep an eye out for them and step off the trail if you hear them coming - especially on the weekends. Trails here are steep in sections and rough in places, but make for a really fun and vigorous hike, even for young kids.

Cache is approximately 5 meters or so from main trail. Use your geo-senses and it should reveal itself to you fairly quickly.
