This is a roadside micro cache with only a logbook. Bring your own pencil. Please do not trespass onto the fenced property. The cache is accessible from the shoulder of the road.
Along the roadside as you are nearing Aspen Grove from the north, you will see an old barn with corrals and loading chutes on the left. It is currently part of a protected habitat area. You can park on the shoulder on either side of the road.
I really like old buildings and this one is quintessential for this region, with its historical and ongoing dependence on ranching. In the spring, you may see it surrounded by the barn swallows who breed here; look up into the underside of the roof and you will see their nests.
You do not need to cross any fences or go through gates! The cache is accessible from the shoulder of the road and is available even in winter. Bring your own writing stick. You are looking for a camoed film canister. Please replace it with the lid facing the same way - otherwise it becomes very visible!
