This cache was placed here at this location because it is a nice little pond with bass and pickerel. My uncle used to live across the street from the beginning of the trail head. You can park in a dirt turn out at the beginning of an old railroad track which is now a snowmobile trail. You can either drive down to the pond, walk, bike or in the winter snowmobile. It is only a little over half a mile from the start of the trail to the pond. Bring your camera and a picnic lunch. You can drive down the trail and park in one of two single parking spots. The first spot is to the right about 500 ft. from the pond. The other single parking spot on the left just before the bridge. Beside the bridge is a dirt ramp to unload a small aluminum boat, canoe or kayak. It is a beautiful little pond with lots of lily pads. If you look from the bridge to the other side of the pond there is a large beaver hut. The beaver used to dam the water under the bridge.
