[LT] Ant kalno priešistoriniais laikais veikė pagonių šventykla – alkas. Pasakojama, kad joje buvęs apeiginis akmuo, vadinamas Aukuru, kuris sunaikintas XX a. pradžioje. Įvedus krikščionybę, ant kalno žmonės rinkdavosi gegužinių pamaldų, statė jame kryžius ir koplytėles, šalia kurių 1924 m. pastatyta koplyčia.

[LV] Kalna galā senos laikos bijusi pagānu svētvieta- upurkalniņš. Teic, ka šeit ir bijis upurakmens, uguns altāris, kas iznīcināts 20. gs. sākumā. Pēc kristietības ieviešanas kalnā tika noturētas maija lūgšanas, uzstādīti krusti, būvētas kapelas. 1924. gadā uzbūvēta kapliča.
