Geocache Description:

The second cache of three with a Winnie the Pooh theme.

This was our first set of caches to hide. We have been enjoying geo caching during the school summer holidays and so decided to plant a series of caches for ourselves.

This cache has been placed with the kind permission from the Forestry Commission and with the help from parmstro.

This series of 3 Winnie the Pooh themed caches will take you on a 4 mile circular walk around the Bere Forest. This has been a favourite stomping ground of our family since our children were very little. We have always known it as ' hundred acre woods' - hence the Winnie the Pooh theme.

It starts from the ' Woodend' car park where a small parking charge applies and takes you along gravel type paths . Please note the car park closing time if you are intending on walking of an evening as a barrier is closed and you could get stuck!

There is a lovely wooden play area at the 'West walk' end where there are public toilets, picnic benches, a small refreshment van (peak times only) and 2 unusual play areas for children of all ages.
All 3 boxes are large enough for small swaps, travel bugs etc.
