Geocache Description:

You seek a camo'd lock n lock on historic grounds dating back to the 1700's. The 5th in our Colonial Cache series.

This Revolutionary War Hospital was America's first military hospital built under the order of George Washington to treat ill and diseased soldiers from the Valley Forge encampment.

Medicines during the 18th century came from plants. The herb garden you will see contains the kinds of plants that were used to treat the ill during the Revolutionary War. This hospital was in use by the Continental Army from 1777-1781.
