Geocache Description:

An easy night cache along and near the Burleson Hike and Bike Trail.

Falling Stars

I placed this cache during the Perseid Meteor Shower. August days make for hot caching around here, so give this night cache a try after the sun goes down and maybe you'll spot a few falling stars!

You can hike or bike to reach this one. A street bicycle will get you within 100 yards of the final and a mountain bike will get you practically all the way there. It also makes for a nice walk, with a round trip from the closest parking of just under a mile. (The final 100 yards is mostly off-trail - watch out for cactus!)

You can reach this cache from anywhere along the Burleson Hike and Bike Trail, but the closest parking is near Bransom Elementary School. (You can park in the lot when school is not in session).

At the posted coordinates you will find a black metal fence with posts in the ground about every eight feet. How many vertical poles are in each section between the main fence posts? The answer is a 2-digit number in the form, AB. C=B-A; D=A+1; E=D+1; F=C-1.

Using these numbers, hike or bike about four tenths of a mile down the trail until you reach a mesquite tree at N 32 31.CDD W 097 18.EFE.

From the mesquite tree, shine your flashlight west into the brush, where you will notice a white reflective marker. From that marker, you should spot the next one. Follow the trail of markers until you come to a red reflector, which marks the location of the hidden cache. Log only. BYOP.

Congratulations to geoparker76036 and linparker76036 for first-to-find!
