Geocache Description:

You can't park on the main road right near GZ and you can't get to the cache from there anyway.  If you look on Google Maps you will see slightly south of GZ, near a "Southern Highlands" sign, a laneway leaves the road and goes near GZ.  Drive on that - it's suitable for any vehicle.  Once you've parked you'll need to be fairly sure-footed to get to GZ and if it's been heavily raining there might be a bit of splashing involved.

Since starting Geocaching a few months ago, I've become quite seriously addicted to Eclipse Mints - and Blitz, their Aldi equivalent in a slightly larger tin.  As well as minty refreshment they also provide a handy steel snap-top box which, although they have their critics, make a good cache container under the right conditions and are therefore quite popular.  I cleaned out my desk recently and realised I have a lot of these tins now, and rather than send them off for recycling, I thought I'd make a stash of them available for fellow cachers to use.  So, once you find this cache, help yourself to some Eclipse tins, if you like - but not the one with the logbook in it!

Note: to record a Find, you MUST find and sign the log, or email me a photo of the log if you can't sign it for some reason.  A pen and pencil are provided.  Also, let me know if it starts to run low on tins and I'll top it up!

A final note: during the warmer months, there are black snakes and copperheads around here, as with most water courses in the highlands. Keep your eyes open and they will keep away from you.
