Geocache Description:



This cache at the historical site of the Manassas gap railroad independent line. The is a very old bridge (or building) made out of huge bricks of stone near the cache. The park this is located in is a great place for walking, biking , or geocaching and has a lot of wildlife and interesting plants. If you are lucky, while looking for the cache you may see the huge crane that lives in the area. While hiding this cache I was planning to hide it in one of the cracks in the wall, but I changed my mind when I realized how many spiders, squirrels, and other potentially hazardous things live in the walls, so it is about 20 feet away. The park is only available during the daytime. Bring a pen and have fun!

GPS Map:

Over a few months I mapped all of the trails in Cub Run Park with my GPS. I sent all of the files to the creator of “My Trails”. “My Trails” is one of the top custom maps available on GPS file depot (a great site for free custom maps for your GPS). He has updated the custom map to include all of the trails. It is a very easy to install map overlay that will show the trails on top of whatever map you are currently using.
