This is in an area of high muggle visitors so be wary, on both ocasions I have visited in the last 2 weeks there have been at least 8 cars of people in 1 hour.
Care will be needed to find the cache as it is close to the edge so if your here with young children please keep a close eye on them.
When my older children were at school they were involved inthe first round of "Rich Tasks" (showing my age now) and they needed to "build a structure" now most groups opted to build a chook house or dog kennel but my kids decided on a whale watching centre........................ The preposed building site was Lamberts Lookout. Whales have been sighted from here so bring your bino's and settle in for a look. You can also see Hay Point/ Dalrymple Bay Coal terminals and the ore carriers waiting to be loaded from here as well as many of the comings and goings of Mackay harbour. Enjoy the view and may you see a whale cruising past.
