Geocache Description:


The Blues has played a huge part in Mississippi.  This is one of the Blue Trail Markers that run through out the state.  The Laurel area has been a hub for musical activity  in southeast Mississippi and has been home to a number of blues performers including harmonica player Sam Myers, singer Albennie Jones and rock and roll producer Blind Roosevelt Graves.  R&B, blues, and rock and roll producer Johnny Vincent  who founded Ace Records in Jackson in 1955, got his start selling records in Laurel.  One of Mississippi most popular blues events, The Laurel Mothers Day Blues Festival, began in Laurel in 1987.  You will be looking for Silver Pill Fob.  Enjoy the area and the history.
