Bergsäng
Bergsäng är en tidigare tätort i Hagfors kommun, Ekshärads socken.
År 1951 hittades i Backetorp, Bergsäng, en avslagen skafthålsyxa av grönsten. Denna beräknas vara från gränsen mellan andra och tredje årtusendet före kristus.
Det första skriftliga beviset på bebyggelse finner man i 1503 års “skatteregenskap för Dalarne och Värmeland”. Där nämns Bergsäng för första gången tillsammans med 24 byar i Klarälvdalen.
I “Ekishä rede sognnh”, upprättad 1540 nämns bonden Sone i södre Bärgsängh.
Från en fältmätning 1883-1895 kan utläsas att det fanns 14 gårdar, 31 torp, ett skolhus samt en gästgivargård i Bergsäng.
Den största befolknings utvecklingen på orten skedde under 1960 - 1970 talen, då bostadsområdena till stor del tillkom. Efter detta har orten stått stilla i sin utveckling.
Bergsäng hade år 2005, 201 invånare, och är idag en bostadsort med pendling främst till Hagfors. Orten förlorade 2010 sin status som tätort på grund av minskande befolkning.

Bergsäng is a former urban of municipalityHagfors, Ekshäradparish.

Bergsäng had in 2005, 201 inhabitants, and is today a place of residence of commuting primarily to Hagfors. The village lost in 2010 his status as urban because of declining population.
