Please Note: This is NOT on the Mid North Coast Wander, and in fact you will be going the wrong way if heading to Harrington to continue the trail by the numbers. Rather, this would allow you to take a rest at a not so hidden Oasis, which used to be right by the Pacific Highway, but now bypassed.
The closest ‘Power Trail’ / Wander cache is 131, just 1 km North of here. I had permission to clear some lantana from the area here, and came across the hidey-hole, so I had nothing to do with altering the environment to place the cache; and that permission to clear lantana is extended to cachers who find it encroaching within a metre of the cache. (At this stage there is a nice clear zone)
So, after logging your find do a U-turn, and head back up Macquarie Street and up Bangalow Road to the North to continue you time on the Wander like the ‘First-to-Finders’, or to head to Harrington go via George Gibson Drive to the South West to Coopernook Road that links Coopernook with the Pacific Highway where it now bypasses at the Coopernookie cache.
