The cache should be easy to find and get to. WP1 is located at a local food pantry andis a little over 1 mile away from the final. I would recommend driving to the final and avoiding the swim so the driving route will be longer.
Chrysler had two plants in Fenton, a North and a South. The south plant opened in 1959 and the North plant opened in 1966. Both plants are now shut down and torn down. At WP1 you will probably see the last thing that remains from the factory.
The North Plant started out making B series vans and wagons then switched to the Ram Truck in 1980. Over 1 million trucks were built. This factory closed its doors on July 10 2009. The production was moved to Saltillo, Mexico and Warren, Michigan.
The North Plant opened 1966. Here is a list of the vehicles made in the North Plant.
Valiant, Lancer, Dart, Belvedere, Monaco, Coronet, Barracuda, Charger, Volare, Aspen, Le Barron, Diplomat coup, Caravelle coup, Aries, Reliant, Limousine, Executive, Laser, Daytona, and Minivans.
The plant closed October 31 2008 and production was moved to Windsor.
