Cache is located in the new NB Parking Area on I-35 in Story County. The cache should be available all year long and should be large enough to fit small trackables such as small travel bugs and all geocoins. Original container is a camo'd PB jar.
This new NB Parking Area on I-35 opened for the public just this summer of 2012. It was previously a weigh station but has been decommissioned for some time now. The Iowa DOT has opened this parking area for drivers on I-35 NB as a replacement for the NB rest area at Ankeny since it has been closed due to new construction on NE 36th St.
This cache should be large enough for all geocoins and most small travel bugs. There is one travel bug in the cache to start. Feel free to drop (or pick up) as many trackables as you'd like to carry, but PLEASE be sure to log them so their owners know where they are located.
You can access this area in the winter, but it might be a bit of a tough walk back to GZ. There won't be much bushwhacking because there are several small established walking/animal paths back here already. You may have to use some stealth if there are any other people using the parking area, but should be okay most of the time.
Original container contents: log sheet, pen, wooden coin, crylotube w/log (seed cache) and a special "schunazer" token for the FTF.
