Cache # 89.
The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is a wonderful cycling trail between Wangaratta and Bright, with a side track running from Everton Station to Beechworth. The trail is suitable for road bikes.
These are essentially caches placed for cyclists using the trail. Car drivers should be able to park close by.
In the right season you may also get wonderful glimpses of the snow-capped peaks!
I always enjoy riding past these couple of giant gums on the outskirts of Porepunkah. Please be aware that cyclists can appear quickly from either direction so take care when on the track.
As this cache is so close to the rail trail please ensure that you camouflage it well.
The cache is a regular size with log book but you will need to bring your own PEN.
