The views from here are pretty good.
Careful, its a country road with all its attendant farm traffic. It's also got a lot of routine traffic as a lot of folk will use this road at "Work" times.
Close your eyes and imagine if you will........ A lovely Summers morning.
I'd just finished a night duty.
A 750 Kawasaki and a dry country road........Such fun!
Accelerating over the brough of the hill in anticipation of the flat out ride to the end of the road.
A herd of Cows being driven out of the gateway at GZ and two cars stopped to let them!
The brakes were good, but not that good!
I hit the bank behind the first car and went airbourne.
1st thought "This is going to hurt!"
2nd thought "Hope I don't go through the Barbed Wire!"
Face first into the dewy grass, 3rd thought, I'm going to drown!! I didn't!
4th thought "I'm still alive! That wasn't too bad! 'Spose I'd better get up!"
5th thought "**** **** THAT HURTS!!"
Result.....A cracked Rib, a pretty well beat up Bike, a very old and very comfortable Belstaff Jacket trashed and six, quite painful, weeks off work!
I survived to ride again, the Bike had the broken bits thrown away, and unless necessary to make it go, not replaced. Apehanger Bars and Matt Black paint and off we went again!
