In the Otaru Port, it is surrounded three directions on the mountain. It is a very calm natural good harbor. It hold Sapporo that is metropolis of Hokkaido in the rear and carry an important role as a circulation base port of Nihonkai.
小樽港は、北・西・南の三方を山に囲まれ、港内の静穏度が高い天然の良港となっている。北海道における政治・経済の中心地である札幌市を中心とする道央圏を背後に持ち、日本海側の流通拠点港として重要な役割を担っている。
