There was once the Table Hill school here on this corner. It started up in 1877 and had 21 pupils. Mr Fred Bennett was the first teacher, but he only stayed a short while and Archibald Douglas took over.
In later years the school re-opened in a new building Miss Jane Bathune was the teacher, having 12 pupils. The school closed in 1947.
The building was shifted to a farm near Bull Creek, is is now demolished.
Be careful parking as it is on a corner..
