Ursprünglich war nur die größere Tafel angebracht:

ZUM GEDENKEN
AN DIE OPFER DES 2. WELTKRIEGES.
INSBESONDERE AN ZWEI SOLDATEN,
DIE AM PASSIONSSONNTAG 1945
AN DIESER STELLE
IHR LEBEN LASSEN MUSSTEN.


Natürlich fragt man sich, was hier wohl passiert sein mag, Flugzeugabsturz, Zweikampf, oder, oder...

Inzwischen ist eine zweite Tafel angebracht:

Dazugehörig gibt es im Internet ein Dokument (Verlinktes Dokument, Seite 30 ), welches das Geschehen beschreibt: Zwei junge Soldaten wurden hier gezwungen ihr Grab auszuheben und anschließend von Feldgendarmen mit Spaten erschlagen und verscharrt.

Belonged there is a document ( Linked document, page 30 ) on the internet, that describes the action: Two young soldiers were forced here to dig their grave and subsequently slain with spades and buried.
