This geocaching experience is designed to test observational skills while offering the opportunity to learn a little more about New Zealand's history.
The coordinates lead to Arrowtown's commercial hub, Buckingham Street and the Arrowtown Post Office built in 1915. The Red Pillar Post Box in the courtyard was originally in Invercargill. On the front are the letters E R. Do you know what these stand for? (not Elizabeth Regina!) Clues are on the plaques. Next to the Post Office (1907) is a nice example of an Edwardian Bay Villa. The coordinates direct you to a sunny seat. Sit down and and wait for a gap in the procession of muggles. PLEASE REPLACE VERY CAREFULLY.
