A drive by cache on the edge of Wyresdale Park and the Forest of Bowland, near the quaint village of Scorton. You are looking for a small plastic contianer. Pencil Needed. Please walk carefully along the road, if finding this cache along the walk.
Situated in the North West of England, the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) covers 312sq miles of rural Lancashire and North Yorkshire and includes the famous landmark Pendle Hill. The Forest of Bowland AONB offers plenty of opportunity for quiet enjoyment such as walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding, and with newly opened Access Land, can now offer some of the most remote and rugged walking in the North West. Scorton village in the parish of Nether Wyresdale, along the road from Garstang, developed around the cotton mill and railway in the nineteenth century, although there are records of the village and catholic church in Scurton, or Scorton, tracing back to the seventeenth century. Today the village is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists seeking refreshment at the Priory Inn, together with visitors to the Barn. Nearby landmark Nicky Nook is a popular climb, and the fisheries at Wyreside Lake and Cleveley Mere are well worth a visit too.
