This cache is number eighteen in a series of caches. The plan is to put out a range of difficulty and terrain caches, as well as cache types, local to the Eglinton and surrounding areas (for my ease of maintenance). The first digit of these caches will also start with all the letters and numbers for anyone trying to complete their Alphanumeric challenge.
Please remember to note down the letter at the top of the log sheet or around the outside of the container.
Welcome to Lough Foyle
The GZ is located on the mudflats of Lough Foyle right beside where the Ballykelly River enters the Lough, a couple of minutes walk from the parking area. Close to the suggested parking there is a small bridge that will allow you to cross the river and walk along the embankment (about 2 miles there and 2 back if your feeling fit).
There is lots of wildlife to watch out for, visiting swans, wading birds and otters amongst others.
The Cache
It’s a 30ml sample container inside a camo bag, well hidden from view of people passing. Please replace exactly as and where you find it.
Please place the container, lid first into the bag and then place the bag toggle first into it's hid. Hopefully this will keep it as dry as possible.
A bonus cache will then be available by solving an anagram with all the collected letters from each of the previous 36 caches.
REMEMBER TO JOT DOWN AND KEEP THE LETTER ON THE TOP OF THE LOGSHEET AND AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE CONTAINER. Happy hunting.
