LOYAL
A Scout is loyal. A Scout is true to his family, friends, Scout leaders, school, and nation.
By being loyal to the Scout Law, and holding its points dear, a Scout is naturally loyal to those around him in a right and good manner. Blind loyalty is not loyalty at all, but loyalty founded on truth, compassion, and honor is truly loyal.
This is the second of two caches placed by Troop 90 in Palmetto State Park and is focused on the second point of the Scout Law. This cache location has particular significance if you are enjoying some tubing on the San Marcos river while in the park. Be sure and get out and see some of the historic features of the park that were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The CCC was depression era works relief program for young men that supported conservation and development of natural resources in rural lands owned by federal, state and local governments.
This cache is a medium sized plastic container that contains scout related swag. There is a nice gift for the FTF. Check the cache log for your prize.
The cache was placed in consulation with the park staff. A permit was filed and approved by Todd Imboden, Park Superintedent.
