Geocache Description:

Summary
The Blackrock Power Trail is a series of caches running from Booterstown to Killiney.   More caches will be added to the series over time. Cache 01 takes you through Booterstown Park.

The Blackrock Power Trail Series (BRPT)
The series startd in Idrone Terrace on Dublin Bay behind Blackrock Village and progressed down past Blackrock Dart station and into Blackrock park, past the Martello Tower and finished up near Booterstown Dart Station, but it has been extended several times since.  Caches range from an easy 1/1 D/T through to the hardest being a 3/4.

The rules of Geocaching are such that no cache can be within 160 metres (0.1 miles or 528 feet) of another cache... so you will find that the caches in this series are generally about 200 metres apart from each other.  There are also some other caches along this route that you may want to pick up as you go.

The Cache
The 1st cache in the BRPT series used to be a 3x4 inch hip-flask, but as this had been thoroughly muggled, it has been replaced with a camo bison tube. It is located near a playground. A little tip for accessing the cache itself is to follow the well-beaten path to the right of the tree at GZ. The slope is moderately steep so be sure to hold on to something / someone. The cache is best attempted at HIGH tide... but purely for aesthetic reasons.

Good hunting!
