This is the first cache in a trail of caches that we will be putting out leading up to the Vermillion River Reservoir. The building of the Vermillion River dam created the reservoir, which is used to supplement Dauphin's drinking water supply. The reservoir is located southwest of Dauphin along the northern boundary of Riding Mountain National Park. It has been stocked with rainbow trout and small mouth bass.
The cache is located along the City of Dauphin By-pass. You can park along the highway and walk to the cache. Please be careful as this highway can be very busy at times. Cache is stocked with tradeables, logbook, pencil and an FTF certificate. Lots of room for larger swag.
