Just out for a stroll in Whispering Oaks Park and I just so happened to have a cache I created to hide somewhere.
Whispering Oaks park is a large park that parallels Boone Creek thru McHenry. There is a nice path that leads from the ponds along the creek to where the creek turns south on the other side of Oakwood Dr. I created a cache that was new to me, although it is a camoflaged micro container, and went looking for a spot to hide it. Saw a three headed monster hiding in the woods and funny enough it was talking to me. It told me that this may be a good spot. Then I saw charlie creeping around (no not Mr. Charlie) and he lead me to a spot. hopefully it is not too hard to find, but just tricky enough.
Parking is available at either end of the path, main lot is on the east side of the park.
Cache has been placed with permission of the Director of the McHenry Parks and Recreation Dept.
Congratulations SAVVY18 on the FTF!!
