Geocache Description:

Mt. Duke (Ljuboten) is a favorite desitination of many mountain climbers through Europe. In winter, there is often more than one meter of snow covering most of the mountain. The hike up to the peak is physically challenging, and not for the faint of heart. The views from the summit are fantastic.

This cache is a micro (bison tube) cache to mark the parking and trailhead for the assent to the summit of Mt. Duke (Ljuboten). You don't need to do any hiking or climbing to access this cache. The drive in to this location is very rough. I recommend a SUV or 4 wheel drive high clearance type vehicle. Please bring your own pencil to sign the log and replace the cache like you find it so it won't get muggled! Thanks and Happy Caching!

From the trailhead (on the Kosovo side of the peak), the hike is approximately 2 miles (3.2 Km) to the top. The change in elevation is 2545 feet (775 meters) from start to summit. The summit is 8196 feet (2498 meters) high.
