Geocache Description:


Sitka's Cache is named after our sweet Siberian Husky girl that passed this year and placed in the area around our home where she loved to run. If you live locally in the area you may have even met her as she was a fence jumping, hole digging, escape artist for all of her 11 years of life! She loved chasing squirrels, rabbits, and unfortunately porcupines (which never worked out well for her). When she would finally tire out she would find a neighbor and plant herself in their yard or just sit out in the woods behind our house and howl for us to come find her! We called it her "wookie cry", not quite a howl and definitely not a bark with a little hint of a 'purr' at the end. We love her and miss her dearly and hope that this cache will bring a smile to the faces of owners of past and present mischevious dogs.

We started the cache out with fun toys and accessories for your dog in honor of our Sitka. 

Parking: this is a quick stop and easy grab with a large gravel parking lot located right next to the cache on the "cross street".
