Geocache Description:

Nothing really special here just a simple hide located within 50 feet of Cemetery Road in the Horine Section of Jefferson Memorial Forest. Entry into the Horine Section requires a daily permit that can be easily obtained free of charge from the Welcome Center at 11311 Mitchell Hill Road (waypoint provided). Welcome Center hours of operation are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday - Saturday and 10:00 am - 3:00 pm on Sunday. Park opens at 8:00 and closes at dusk. Drop by and see the nice ladies at the Welcome Center get a trail map for this section and the other sections of JMF and be on your way to a special caching venue.

Over the past couple years I have spent quite a bit of time wandering the hills, trails, many deer trails and sometimes no trails in this remarkable natural resource that is so readily available to the local caching community. This is nature at its finest. Very little litter to be found (remember CITO), natural formations that are not adorned with spray paint, low muggle traffic, just the sounds of the forest. Are there bugs - sure. Are there briers - sure. Are there hills - sure. Lace up your hiking boots use a little insect repellent and come on out. Every time that I log a cache out here it amazes me the few signatures on the logs. If your not one of those signatures I have seen you don't know what you are missing. Come on out and give it a try - I promise that you will be back.

Off my soapbox now and on to the cache. These two are quite simple hides. Park at the Horine Parking area (waypoint provided) and take a stroll down the red trail which is relatively flat at this point. From there cross the road (restricted to campers only and usually gated) to Cemetery Road (marked with park sign and always gated). Skirt the gate and let the caching begin. You are looking for a subdued Rx bottle hidden within 70' of the road. The coordinates have been averaged 150 times to within 10' under heavy cover - so generous hints will be provided.
