Odin, konge over de norrøne guder, viser deg en flott utsikt over Krokenfjellet fra denne litt glemte og bortgjemte veien på Gimle.
Odin, the king of the norse Gods, shows you this nice view of Krokenfjellet from this rather forgotten street in Gimle.
Odin er den mektigste og viseste av gudene i norrøn mytologi. Han ble regnet både som gudenes høvding og høvdingenes gud. Opprinnelig var Odin stormens og nattens gud, men ble senere "forfremmet" til hovedguden. Odin fikk mange sønner, men den mest kjente og mektige må regnes å være Tor, Tordenguden.
Odin er viden kjent for sin visdom og kunnskap som han fikk da han ofret det ene øyet for å drikke av kunnskapens brønn (Mimes brønn). På hver skulder har han en svart ravn, Hugin og Munin ("tanken" og "minnet"), som flyr rundt og samler informasjon til Odin. Ravnene Hugin og Munin utgjør også passende nok logoen til Universitetet i Tromsø.
Utsikten mot øst fra cachen gir et flott utsyn mot Krokenfjellet. Benytt gjerne også anledningen til en liten rusletur inn den koselige lille sideveien som ligger motsatt av cachen.
Cachen inneholder kun logg-ark. Ta med egen blyant. FTF-pin er gjemt nær selve beholderen (ikke på eller i).
Odin is the wisest and most powerfull of the gods in norse mythology. He was held as the chief of the Gods, and the God of chiefs. Odin was originally the God of storms and nights, but was later "promoted" to be the head God. Odin had many sons, Thor the thundergod beeing the most wellknown and powerfull.
Odin is also well known for his wisdom and knowledge, which he gained when sacrifising one of his eyes to drink from Mimes well (The well of knowledge). On each shoulder there is a black raven, Hugin and Munin ("thought" and "memory") which fly all over the world to gather information. Hugin and Munin are fittingly enough also in the logo of The University of Tromsø.
To the east of the cache, you can see the grand Krokenfjellet. You should also take the time to stroll through the small cosy street just opposite of the cache.
The cache contains only a log. Bring your own pencil. FTF-pin is hidden near the container (but not inside or on it).
