"Damn the Torpedoes, Full Speed Ahead" -Admiral David G. Farragut
Wassup wit dat?
After originally writing up an event cache for this date and reserving the pavilion. I was told by the secretary at the Wilmore city office, there was going to be a fee and they would get back to me with the price. After waiting a week, I get a call and it turned out that it was a fairly substantial amount for someone to come out and change the garbage can liners and tack a reserved sign on the nearby signboard. So, I got p.o.'ed and archived it before it was ever published.
Later, after discussing problem with some other GEOCKY members, I was told that it would conflict with the Windy Rock Event in Bardstown.
Hmmm? I wasn’t going to the Windy Rock Event anyway and I’m sure a few other locals weren’t either. So, I thought I’d resurrect the idea and plan a local event for “the other” cachers to go to.
Then I was informed there MAY BE an event that I and some others wanted to go to on that date, so I was wavering on my date. But, I decided to just go for it.
What a train wreck this event was turning out to be, hopefully you all can help me get it back up on track and turning into a fun time! If we get to use the shelter, so be it, if not....oh well!
