[SV] Fornborgen är med sin areal på tre hektar den största av sex fornborgar på Åland. Den som förväntar sig en borg eller slott likt den i Kastelholm blir besviken. Fornborgen uppfördes för cirka tusen år sedan då vattennivån var fem meter högre upp än idag. Belägen vid Ålands rikaste och folktätaste centralbygd utgjorde den ett skydd i orostider. Borgen var strategiskt placerad på en fristående brant klippa som omgavs av vatten på tre sidor. I norr och öst fanns ett naturligt skydd i form av de branta bergssidorna medan den södra och västra sidan förstärktes med en sten- och träpalissad.
Du tar dig enklast till cachen genom att börja gå vid Trailhead och sedan följa stigen över ängarna tills du kommer till berget där du följer de vita markeringarna.

[EN] The hill fort is with its area of three hectares the largest one of six hill forts on Åland. Those who expects a fortress or castle like the one in Kastelholm will be disappointed. The hill fort was build about thousand years ago when the water level was five meters higher than it is today. Situated at Ålands richest and most populated district it provided a protection in times of strife. The fort was strategically placed on a standalone steep cliff that was surrounded by water on three sides. To the north and east there was a natural defense in the form of the steep hillsides while the southern and western side was reinforced by a stone and wood palisade.
The easiest way to the cache is to start at the Trailhead and then follow the trail over the fields until you reach the hill where you follow the white signs.
