Summary:
This can be grabbed as a cache & dash for drivers, or picked up on the way by for walkers. Located close to the A3 turnoff for Clanfield, obvious care and attention should be taken here as the road can be busy. The route continues from here, back along Charlton lane towards the earlier crossed road bridge. Just one small problem before you continue on your way, where is Mr Small.
Description: The Mr Men series is based on the characters created by Roger Hargreaves. It was the idea of our 8yr old son, who thoroughly enjoys our trips out geo-caching. Placing some of our own seemed to be the next step in keeping his interest going.
As a child, I enjoyed listening to and reading these stories. The simple plots and colourful characters are now proving to be a real family favourite with both our children. The series of 46 books introduce us to a number of unique characters, each with their own story to tell and lessons to learn.
This series has a number of clip-top containers to be found, as well as the odd unique one to keep you interested. Please can you place them back with care, and then hopefully we can keep them out of the grasps of those pesky mugglers. The route takes you on a trip that boasts views of both Butser and Windmill hills. It can be steep in places, and may not be suitable for all. For a short stretch, the return leg takes you along Charlton lane. Obvious care and attention should be taken here as this is close to the A3 turnoff for Clanfield. The east side of the road has a grass verge to walk on until you rejoin the path at the bridge.
Charlton lane (west side of the A3) has a lay-by for parking (N: 50 56.822, W 00 59.038), and with Mr Skinny only a short walk away, this is my suggested starting point.
