Level walking to reach cache location through Filham Park, approach from West after following a well trodden path through area of high grass and young trees, or from small football pitch to the South (through gap in fence). Free car parking nearby outside the Ivybridge Cadet Centre, near an area of allotments.
Third in an ongoing series to bring out the hidden away or forgotten about nooks and crannies in and around Ivybridge.
The standing remains of this long since dead tree looks quite out of place from the immediate surround, almost like the entrance to another world. The line of trees either side suggest an old avenue, although where from or to is not known.
Beware if attempting to source this cache in late twilight or the dark hours – even if you don’t encounter any other worldly creatures, you may potentially surprise younger Ivybridge folk (nearby area is sometimes used for festivities outside of parents view...)
Cache is a long rectangular plastic box, containing a small note pad for entries and a live TB for FTF.
