Geocache Description:

Placed with owner's permission...

You do not have to enter zoo to locate cache.

This is a very cool place! Hard to believe that this breeding facility has been right here in our own back yard for the past 17 years.... breeding animals that are extinct in the wild, along with zebras, tigers, camels, monkeys, birds, lemurs, leopards...

They also have Gibbons, which are the smallest of the Ape family...Gibbons are one of the few primates to form monogamous pairs. Leaving their family unit around age three, the pair show they have chosen each other as mates by singing a duet together that can sometimes be heard up to 2 miles away! They sing daily to reinforce this bond. This was really cool to witness!

The facility opened to the public about 2 years ago... Giraffes are on their way and they are adding several more species very soon!

I hope you have a great time locating this cache!

There are a few "animals" in the cache!

Now, get out there and play!!! :)
