Alert: Fire Ants reported in the cache off and on so OK to claim without a log entry. I have always thought of myself as a “word nerd”. Perplexed over pronunciations, daffy over derivations, dumbfounded by dialects, and well absolutely engrossed with etymology!

This cache is to celebrate the inclusion of Geocaching \ˈjē-ō-ˌka-shiŋ\ making the 2012 list of new words inducted into the Merriam – Webster Dictionary. The definition:

GEOCACHING : a game in which players are given the geographical coordinates of a cache of items which they search for with a GPS device — geo·cach·er noun — First Known Use of GEOCACHING 2000
