The world's imagination is captured by all things related to the English Royal Family. Part of this history has been made by the House of Tudor.
The House of Tudor was headed by Henry Tudor, King Henry VII 1485 -1509. He married Elizabeth of York. They had seven children, the most famous of which was Henry VIII. He had six wives and he ended the marriages in many ways for many reasons. Henry VII had three children, Edward VII never married and died at age 15, Mary I aka Bloody Mary never had children, Elizabeth I never married and never had children. Her reign as Queen is known as the ELIZEBETHIN ERA. So after Elizabeth I death throne passes to Margaret Tudors Line, sister of Henry VIII. She married James Stewart, James IV of Scotland. At that time England and Scotland where not united. There son James V of Scotland had a Daughter of some renown, MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS. Mary had a son James VI whom ascended the throne in 1603 at the death of his cousin Elizabeth I. James VI was a descendent of "Robert the Bruce" of Scotland this was a person in the Movie Braveheart. So ends the House of Tudor and Begins the House of Stuart. A violent and colorful history of which countless movies have been made, books written and stories told.
When I was in the 11 grade we studied and read Shakespeare and had to do a project around his works. Mine was a linage of the English Royal Family from William the Conquer in 1066 to the current Queen Elizabeth. This was hand drawn on a roll of shelf paper with ruler and sharpie. At school I unrolled it and pasted it across the front of the class room, it cover almost the entire side. I had to stand and explain what it was.
So enjoy the history and visit the HOUSE OF TUDOR, just a quick png on a lonely back road. If the coordinates are off let me know.
