Level terrain--difficulty 1.5--In memory of the 46 who lost their lives in the Silver Bridge disaster. Downtown Pt. Pleasant. No need to disturb anything. Please watch for Muggles !

The FTF and SL on 12/15/12 on the 45th Remembrance of the Silver Bridge Disaster was JOKER RENI at 7:17am. CONGRATS!!

The Silver Bridge was constructed in 1928 and got it's name from the aluminum colored paint. On December 15, 1967 on a pre- Christmas evening the bridge, fully loaded, collapsed into the cold Ohio River. There were 31 vehicles on the bridge resulting in 46 deaths and 9 injured. This tragedy resulted in Congressional passage of national bridge inspection standards in 1968.
This year on December 15, 2012 will be the 45th Anniversary of the Silver Bridge disaster. Those old enough to remember the disaster can easily tell you "where they were on that cold December evening".
