WID003 Girdle Explosion Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache Effect: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

A traditional cache on the west side of the canal.

This is part of a series of caches along the Western Irrigation District canal. These pathways are for public use. No motorized vehicles. You cannot drive up to these caches, you must park, and then self propel there. Access is along a combination of paved trail, sidewalk and hard pack.

Several options for parking:
Max Bell Arena: N 51° 02.575 W 114° 00.300
Bow Waters Canoe Club: N 51° 02.175 W 113° 59.900

In either case, take the pathway on the east side of the canal to the north side of 17th Ave, proceed west on the 17th Ave sidewalk to the west side of the canal. Keep to the right, and the sidewalk takes you to the pathway on west side of the canal. THIS CAN BE A BUSY TRAFFIC AREA, so keep an eye on the kiddies and obey all traffic signals.

Access is at these signs:
