A series of 12 stand alone caches set in the beautiful Kilburn Woods owned by the Forestry Commission and jointly managed by The North York Moors National Park ranger services.
The Lime and Ice project was created in 2008 and creates opportunities for people to learn about, explore and enjoy the landscape heritage of the south-west corner of the North York Moors National Park and the northern part of the adjoining Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
Please visit the new exhibition at the National Park Visitor Center at Sutton Bank ,for more information.
This path can be very busy with Muggle visitors visiting the white horse of Kilburn, and completing the short circular walk along the top of Roulston Scar. The last cache in the series hidden in the boulders just off the path If you parked at Sutton Bank why not head to the White Horse car park, climb the steps to the top of the scarp and walk back along the scarp edge admiring the best views in the British Isles! No need to head up the slope, or turn all the boulders over.
