Geocache Description:

The Fam el Mizab cache is a small tupperwear with a green lid.
It contain a log book with a pen, colored stones, lebanese pin, lebanese flag key holder, Lebanese coins, one old 250 L.L. in paper, Aluminum cross, decorative easter egg, and a hiker badge.

If you done Kornet el sawda summit climb, you haven't seen anything compared to this cache location.
مِزْراب= ميزاب meaning drain, gutter or waterspout
Fam el Mizab is something else, you are standing at almost 3000 meters above sea level, over looking the famous cedars forest (el Arz) viewing the bekaa valley with the anti-eastern mountains chain, the whole caza of Becharre, the qadisha valley, tannourine mountains, ouyoun es simane mountains, the mediteranian sea, what else should i mention ..... in one word EVERYTHING is visible in 360 degrees.
i was with Rabab Assaf when we placed the cache in its hidden place.
If you wanna do this adventure, i have some tips for you, the safe period of the year is July - August and September, even in the safe period, carry a wind breaker, cause the cold wind never stop there. don't get too close to the crest, please de not risk it.
When you reach the cross, follow the heading 282, and walk about 110 meters, you will find a cubic geodetic point, within 10 meters of this geodetic point the cache is hidden.
You  have to move one stone and you will find it waiting for you.
There is a rock shelter if you descide to sit down and enjoy a peaceful moment, i advice you to look at the sky and admire a different blue clear sky with no polution at all.

tip : Fam al Mizab is the third highest peak in Lebanon. the second is Kornet Fahed located on Dahr el Qadib. (34°16.149'N - 36°6.491'E) and Kornet as sawda (34°18.005'N - 36°6.926'E) and all three are on Jabal el Makmel, one more thing important, your cell phone may not work all the time, some areas have no signal.
The hike one way is 6 km and 400m of uphil from the parking area. if you are not a hiking fan, you can reach the Telesiege station with a 4x4 or ATV, and from there climb from there about 2 km and 200m of uphill
Another tip: Kuhe Haji Ebrahim is a peak summit in the Qandil Mountains of western Asia. Haji Ebrahim is 3587 metres tall (located inIraq, Erbil) and sits on the international border between Iran and Iraq, so that mean Kornet es sawda isn't the highest in the middle east.
Good hunt Geocahers.
