I decided York University just didn't have enough geocaches, so here is another.
York University opened in 1959. It is the third largest university in Canada and has over 55,000 students. It is well known for its interdisciplinary research and students from all over the world come and study here.
The cache is a small camouflaged lock-and-lock style container, covered with natural materials. There is no trail, so be prepared to bushwhack a little. There is a non-York apartment building on the same road; please make sure you don't look suspicious to muggle eyes, especially in warmer months when many residents are outside.
York University will (finally) be getting it's own subway connection, which means that for the next several years, the campus and surrounding area will constantly be in a state of construction. Your best bet is to leave your car at Downsview station and take the 196 Rocket into campus. Or, since this cache is close to Keele street, you can park in the plaza or somewhere nearby and walk into campus instead. Take advantage of the trip and take time to do the other York caches and get to know the campus!
