Geocache Description:

An easy Cache ones you get here.  Enjoy the walking trails.

The Provincial Forest Property # 257808 is located in south eastern Kings County, at Cambridge, in Lot 63. The property consists of 42.5 hectares of land which is bounded on the west by Route # 17A and the south by Route # 324.

This property is located within the Provincial Forest E6.

This property has a long history of forest management going back some 30 years to the establishment of Douglas fir, Scots pine and red spruce plantations. The property has also played a role in the improvement of the genetic stock of our Island forests because of the "Plus Tree" white pine which is located on the property's northern boundary.

A recent addition to the Cambridge property is a walking trail (shown in green on the adjacent map). The trail was originally conceived in 2000, and because of community interest the trail was expanded in 2001. Portions of this trail are quite smooth while other portions of the trails go through areas with hummocks (uneven).Care should be taken to wear boots with good ankle support.
