Geocache Description:

A Flash Mob Event cache a bit closer to home. I have seen several of these events dotted around but some have been too far away from home or I have been unable to attend. So I thought I would organise my own.

Please note that this event is only 15 minutes long!!!

Flash mob = A group of people who assemble in a predetermined location, perform some brief action and then quickly disperse!

I thought I would host this at an iconic location in Plymouth which is surrounded by plenty of places to park, eat and stroll around. There are also plenty of caches nearby and a couple of challenge caches close by.

At precisely 17:45 BST on Saturday 15th September 2012, a whistle will blow and Geocachers should converge at the above coordinates from dark corners, behind lamp posts, and other inconspicuous places.

All cachers are to don a hat of your liking. A bottle of wine for the most outrageous hat.

To claim attendance at this event you are invited to put a slip of paper/postcard/envelope into the bucket. To make things more interesting and optional the paper could have your geocaching name on one side and something to do with the Mayflower steps on the other side. Either the Pilgrim Fathers, pictures of the Mayflower of the Mayflower flower etc etc. Let your imagination run wild if you wish!A draw will then take place for the FTF.

At 1800 hours we will disperse. There are plenty of drinking houses nearby if we want to meet for a few drinks afterwards.
This event coincides with the Plymouth Seafood Festival. There will be lots of cooking displays, stalls etc on the Barbican during the day on Saturday 15th. Full details can be found at: http://www.marinecityfestival.co.uk/seafood_festival
