Geocache Description:

鷲津砦跡は名古屋市緑区の鷲津砦跡公園内にあります。

織田信長によって築かれた砦の一つです。
永録二年(1559)今川義元の上洛に備えて丸根砦と共に築きました。
砦の規模は東西25m、南北23mであったともいわれていますが詳細は不明です。
昭和13年に国の史跡に指定されました。

This is one of the fort was built by Oda Nobunaga.　He made preparation for the fight with Yoshimoto Imagawa in 1559.
It is said that the size of the fort is 25m east and west, north and south also was 23m, is not known for sure.
Specified in the national historic site in 1938.
