Geocache Description:

This is a nano cache on the Gibbs Street Pedestrian Bridge. BYOP

This is our first geocache and we wanted it to be someplace unique. It is definitely a high muggle area, but they come in waves off of the tram. If you approach from the west you will need to walk a short ways. If you come from the east be prepared to walk up a few flights of stairs or take the elevator.  Getting to the area can be a little stressful during rush hour. This would be a good off hours or weekend cache. The GZ is wheelchair accessible but the cache is not.

Big thanks to the Gumsmackers and Iriedream teams for being our encouragement.

Congratulations to dianapdx on FTF!

"The City of Portland's new bike and pedestrian bridge over I-5 connects the historic Lair Hill neighborhood with the South Waterfront District. The bridge spans approximately 700 feet, and has a landing on the west side near the intersection of SW Gibbs Street and SW Kelly Avenue and on the east side near the intersection of SW Gibbs Street and SW Moody Avenue. The bridge is adjacent to the aerial tram and includes improvements to some pedestrian crossings in the area. Work activities began in January 2011 and the bridge was opened to the public in July 2012."
