Geocache Description:

This  cache is the southernmost in Bowmanville and likely the most physically challenging. It is located near the shore of Lake Ontario near the marina.

***IMPORTANT NOTE***
This geocache involves climbing across a series of large rocks and should be avoided by children and those who are not accustomed to intense physical activity. There is a moderate level of danger involved in this cache and all searchers should proceed with caution. This cache should only be attempted in the daytime and when weather conditions are calm. Those who seek out this cache should be prepared to get wet. Keep all valuables and your GPS in a waterproof bag.

The container is similar in size to a film container and is NOT hidden in the rocks. Take extra care to keep the log and the cache dry. The cache is accessible on foot and likely by kayak/canoe. Swimming to the cache is not advised. The name of the cache comes from the title of a section of T.S. Eliot's 1922 poem The Waste Land. This cache may become part of a series vaguely linked to the poem. Literal death by water should not be feared when finding this cache :P
