Geocache Description:

In the Palo Alto Baylands. Open 8:00 am to dusk. Please cache only during these hours.

Before this was a duck pond, it was a salt water swimming pool built in 1921 by the City of Palo Alto. Problems with saltination (and duck poop I expect since most ducks can't read) resulted in the area being designated as a Bird Sanctuary. There were certainly a lot of different kinds of birds around when I placed this cache.
